At Capital Detectors we don't claim to be the largest or the oldest, but we have the best prices on new detectors with something more.

When we decided to become dealers, at a friends suggestion, we knew we would have to offer more than just low prices. We encourage our customers to call us day or night with problems or questions about their detectors.

We do this by furnishing our customers with our home and mobile phone numbers where about the only time we are out of reach is when water hunting. Try to get out of the water sometime with a detector and answer a mobile phone before it quits ringing! It is impossible. If we can't be reached leave a message on one of the answering machines and we will get back with you as soon as possible or you can e-mail us. In fact, I have managed to meet most of my customers within a 350 mile radius of my shop in person. I do this by attending hunts and other activities concerning metal detecting.

I got started in this hobby in the late 80s and the only complaint I have about it is that I can not spend more time at it. I encourage customers to join clubs and meet others who are interested in the hobby. The friends you make will probably be one of the best finds you will ever make. Some think they are getting the best deal when they buy from the large so called discount detector places and I will admit they have super prices on detectors, but watch out. An example of this, is a water scoop that we sell for less than $70, one of the same quality goes for over $120 in one of the large discounter's catalogs.
